Wedding Dress Fittings

Your wedding dress is the most important dress you will ever wear. You will want it to fit you perfectly and feel comfortable on your wedding day and as such finding a specialist wedding dress seamstress is equally as important as finding the perfect dress.

Every wedding dress will require some form of alteration. As a highly experienced bridal seamstress, Satish Mal can help you isolate any areas you are not happy with and advise you on anything that may need adjusting, reshaping or adding.

Dress fittings can take place in your home, or any place of comfort and convenience to you. Please note, our consultations and fittings are free, however there will be a call out charge which covers the travel. Kindly fill out the enquiry form for a call out quote.

Fittings usually start up to 6 weeks before the wedding, however, we do have requests from brides to start sooner, sometimes this may be because they are travelling abroad. If this is the case, please do let us know. Conversely, if you have only weeks left for your occasion, we can offer an ‘express service’.

We recommend that you allow up to 1 hour for your first bridal gown fitting. At the end of the fitting, you will be provided with a quote. The dress is taken away for alterations and before work commences, you shall be emailed an invoice with payment instructions. Once the alterations are complete, we return on an agreed date to retry the dress.

At the fitting, we strongly advise customers to have a few options for bras / underwear and also to have the shoes that will be worn with the dress.

Once your dress is good to go, we offer a ‘dressing’ service where we’ll turn up on your big day and dress you so that everything is as it should be – Perfect!
